Zhenyu Weng, Ph.D
Zhenyu Weng is a disciplined and self-assured student of Ph.D., in computer technology and application from the school of electronics engineering and computer science, Peking University (Beijing Shi, China). He achieved a passing grade for his BSc in computer science from School of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University. His self-motivated area of interests and concerns are machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval, specially prepared in developing binary coding and hashing techniques to execute a competent approximate nearest neighbor search with high-dimensional and large-scale data.
He has technical knowledge in C++ and Matlab programming and is highly skilled with practical experience. He won the Silver Prize Award in ACM-ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) Hangzhou Regional, in 2012 as well as a scholarship at the Sun Yat-sen University, in 2010. He offered his observations, research, and creativity by publications that is “Asymmetric Hashing with Multi-bit Quantization for Image Retrieval”, “Neurocomputing, Asymmetric Distance for Spherical Hashing”, IEEE International Conference on Image Processing(ICIP), “Diversity Regularized Metric Learning for Person Re-Identification”, IEEE International Conference on Image Processing(ICIP), 2016.
